According to a report by iBusiness, the SASSA R350 has been extended to January 2021. The SRD R350 Grant Relief for the unemployed who have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, will continue to receive the grant beyond October.
SASSA SRD Grant were suppose to end in October, but have currently been extended for a further 3 months. South Africa as well as the world as a world has been impacted heavily by the Coronavirus.
The pandemic has brought so much pain, unemployment, loss of jobs, and has emotionally abused citizens across the Globe. In a nutshell, coronavirus has been devastating and has taken millions of lives on earth.
As no one anticipated the virus, governments around the world have been providing funds to families negatively impacted by the virus, thus in South Africa, SASSA (South African Social Security Agency) has been giving out funds to people of disability, unemployed, and kids in need of funds.
SASSA has announced it will continue to give out R350 grant relief to the unemployed, however, “the special Covid-19 top-up of R500 given to caregiver grant recipients will come to an end this month. This after an urgent application by the Black Sash Trust to ensure its continuation beyond October was struck off the urgent roll on Friday.” this is according to a report on iBusiness.
